Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the QME Combined Values Calculator ("the Calculator", "we", "us") collects, why, where it is stored, and the choices you have. We keep it short and specific to what the app actually does.
The short version
- The impairment numbers you enter are never sent to us or stored. Calculations run entirely in your browser.
- You can use the Calculator without an account (up to 5 calculations per day).
- If you create an account, we store your email address and a small usage counter — nothing more.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not send it anywhere except the service providers listed below.
What we collect
- Account email & password — when you sign up, your email and password are handled by Google Firebase Authentication. Passwords are managed by Firebase; we never see or store them in plain text.
- Usage counters — to enforce the free daily limit and your subscription status, we store a small record in Google Firestore: your email, a daily calculation count, your plan (free or premium), and your Stripe customer and subscription IDs.
- Payment & subscription data — processed by Stripe. We store the Stripe identifiers needed to link your subscription to your account, but not your card details.
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tags to understand page views and whether a visit led to a subscription. This includes standard analytics data such as approximate location, device, and referring page.
What we do not collect: the impairment percentages and results you calculate are not transmitted to us or saved to any database. They exist only in your browser session.
How we use it
- To provide the Calculator and enforce free-tier limits and premium access.
- To process and manage your subscription through Stripe.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
- To measure basic traffic and advertising performance in aggregate.
Where your data is stored
Account and usage data live in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States. Payment data is held by Stripe, Inc. in the United States. Analytics data is processed by Google. By using the Calculator you understand your data is processed in the United States.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers that make the app work: Google (Firebase hosting, authentication, database, Analytics, and Ads) and Stripe (payments). Each processes data under its own privacy terms. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with anyone else, except where required by law.
Cookies and local storage
The Calculator uses your browser's local storage to remember your theme preference and your offline daily-usage count. Google Analytics and Ads set cookies for measurement. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings.
Your choices
- You can use the Calculator without an account.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us (see below).
- You can manage or cancel a subscription from your account page, which opens the Stripe customer portal.
- You can block analytics cookies with your browser or an extension.
Children
The Calculator is a professional tool for medical evaluators and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
